Rituals haul

One of our most popular posts ever is a Rituals haul, which is great, because I think Rituals deserves to be way more popular on the Internet than it actually is. A little while ago I did some damage in Rituals again and since you guys seem to like a good haul every now and then I thought I'd share with you what I bought.

Nails of the month #1

Like most bloggers, we like nailpolish. For us, nailpolish was what got us started in the world of beauty. I personally started using it because I bit my nails all the time, so I figured why not try to put some colour on my nails, maybe I wont find them looking tasty anymore. Believe it or not, it worked. Nowadays I barely leave the house without something on my nails anymore, so I thought it would be fun to show you guys what I have been wearing on my nails in February.

New in: Christmas gift card

The holidays have passed, everyone has opened their presents and a lot of you have probably received some gift cards. I know many people don't like getting a gift card because it's not very personal and the giver hasn't really thought about it a lot, but I have to admit I don't mind getting a gift card every now and then. This Christmas my grandmother gave me a gift card for Kruidvat, a famous Dutch drugstore that also has a lot of shops in Belgium. I actually needed a few new things, but the holidays had robbed me from every single penny, so the extra budget came in very handy. This is what I bought:

Yves Rocher Tradition de Hammam hair and face mask

I like hair products, but unfortunately my hair reacts badly on a lot of them. I can only use biological products or products meant for children. When I was in my local Yves Rocher a few weeks ago I found this biological Tradition de Hammam hair and face mask. The word Hammam appealed to me a lot, and I had been looking for a good hair mask for a while, so I just threw it in my basket and took this little baby home. Now let's see if it does what it should do, which is cleansing and softening the hair.

Review: Essence cuticle nail softener pen

I have a guilty confession to make… I take bad care of my nails. Really bad care. I mutilate my nails by biting pieces of their head off, I've only started using a base coat a few moths ago and I've never did anything whatsoever to take care of my dearest cuticles. Time to change that, I thought, and I bought the Essence cuticle care pen.

Current addictions #2

More than a month has past since our first current addictions post and since I am quite impulsive, my 'addictions' obviously have changed. These are some of the things that have been absolutely necessary and unmissable in my life this past month.

Review: NYC Smooth Skin pressed powder and cover stick.

I was wandering around at my local drug store and of course I couldn't leave without buying something. I went home with a few new things, among this NYC creamy concealer and compact powder. Actually I've never tried any NYC product, so I was pretty excited to try these.

Rituals cooling foot balm

A little while ago I posted This Rituals haul. I'm very happy with the products I got, so I wanted to give a review about some of them and now I finally found some time, yay! I've been very busy with school and work lately. I've been working like crazy to get all my chores done, but now it seems that I will finally get some time for myself again.

Rituals haul

A few days ago I went looking for a birthday gift for my dad. Since he always likes to get skincare products or perfume or things like that I decided to give him a cute little set of products. I know how much he likes the Rituals Dragon Mud Volcanic Body Scrub, so it seemed kind of logical I'd go to the nearest Rituals and buy him a set with four products of that collection, including the scrub.

Review: TIGI S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum

My hair is normally really dry and breakable, so I absolutely need a serum to take care of it. I used to use one made especially for damaged hair, but it seemed like my hair got even more damaged by using that serum. Very unsatisfied I threw it in the bin and looked for another serum: TIGI S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum. It promises to smoothen the cuticle, protect agains environmental and heat damage and restore moisture & shine. Sounds good to me, so I ordered it and with a little delay my new precious arrived at my home.

Review: Self-tanner from Yves Rocher

I have something to confess: I have milky legs. Not milky way legs, but seriously: white legs and I don’t like it. My face, my arms and my feet: they tan but my legs refuse. So that doesn’t look good when I wear a short or dress. I had to go to a party with a dress and I decided I wanted to try a self-tanner. I never bought one earlier because I read so many horror stories on the internet of people who looked like an orange zebra afterwards. I asked the girl in the store how to do it properly, I asked for experiences and tips at people who already used a self-tanner, I searched the internet … I was completely prepared!

Clash of the dry shampoos: Batiste vs. Schwarzkopf

Dry shampoo, there are hundreds of different kinds, but despite that, it's quite hard to find the perfect one for your hair. They all have some pro's and some contra's. Some dry shampoos even have more contra's then pro's, which isn't all that good, of course.

Today two versions are going to battle for the title of best dry shampoo. In the left corner we have the Batiste Blush version with the seductive scent of flowers. In the right corner we have the Schwarzkopf version. They both promise light, fresh and voluminous hair all day long. Let's see who wins this battle.

Beauty Food: pretty juicy

Source
Everybody wants to look good and to reach that goal we overload ourselves with tons of make-up, lotions, serums and whatever you can imagine. But we forget the natural things that make us pretty. You can make your own face masks and hair masks, which is great. Although it can be easier than that. There are a lot of drinks that help your skin our hair in some way. The most famous example is water, of course. You don't just need water to survive, it also makes your skin looks healthier. But there are other drinks that are good for you. Here are some examples:

DIY not approved by dummies: your own natural hair mask

Hi everyone!

With loads of sun and spending a lot of time in the swimming pool during this summer, my hair was
pretty dried out and ruined. It needed a serious hair repair. I found a DIY online to make your own natural hair mask with banana, olive oil and honey. I know olive oil is good for your hair and banana is delicious so I wanted to try that first before buying a more expensive hair product.

Review: MAX crackled nail polish set

If you live in France, Belgium, Germany or the Netherlands, you probably know the store Action. A couple days ago, I was walking around in the beauty section and I bought this crackled nail polish set from their make-up brand MAX. I didn't think it was going to be any good, to be honest, because 1 set (colour coat, crackle coat and top coat) only costs €1,49. Incredibly cheap, just like everything in Action.
