“I felt like I should salute. If only I knew how.” - Tucker Elliot

Exactly 12 years ago something terrible happened. Something that left a mark on the world forever. At 8h48 a.m. a passengers plane crashed into the World Trade Center. This was the first attack of three. 3020 people died in the attacks. 3020 mothers, fathers, children, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives and friends didn't return home that day. Just as much families never saw their beloved one again. Another 6300 were wounded.

There just aren't any words to describe what happened and how it has changed us. Twelve years later and we still haven't got over it. We probably never will. We think it's important to commemorate this day in honour all those who died, suffered or lost someone.

"All of a sudden there were people screaming. I saw people jumping out of the building. Their arms were flailing. I stopped taking pictures and started crying." - Michael Walters

A man's phone call during 9/11 while the tower collapses (video)

This is a phone call of a man trying to call for help. It truly describes the panic and horror people went through.

We can't change the fact that it happened, but let's hope something like that will never happen again.
