Music: If your blue skies faded to gray, you had a bad day.

Source
You wake up, feeling like a total piece of crap and you'd rather just stay in bed all day and cry, but you can't. So eventually you get out of bed and start longing for the day to be over. From that moment on, everything goes wrong. You drop you're glass of water, you fall off the stairs, you forget half of your books at home, etc… Do you recognize this? Of course you do. Everyone has bad days and everyone has a different way of trying to make them better. Mine is music, so I thought I'd just share some of my favourite bad day songs.

Idea: motivation 'wall'

School started a few weeks ago and for now, it’s all easy-going. No homework, no tests and the finals? More than two months away. But later in the school year my to do-list will be too long, I’ll be stressed, I’ll have bad grades and eventually I’ll lose all hope in myself and feel like quitting, crying and moving to another planet to have a break from school. (Okay, I’m exaggerating now, but still!) Of course that is not a good solution… so I made myself a motivation ‘wall’, that is not actually on a wall. Take a look at it:

I still need to print out more quotes and pictures, but this is already a start.

Movie: the Conjuring

Last night I went to see The Conjuring. This paranormal thriller is based on a true story, but I think they might have exaggerated some things to spice the whole thing up a bit.

Current addictions

Hey guys! It's been a few days since we posted anything. It's quite busy in our lives right now, we really need to get used to the school and working routine, but it's going to be alright.

Now back to the subject of the post: my addictions. Thing that have been making me happy lately, things I can't live without or things I've just developed a small obsession for.

Rituals haul

A few days ago I went looking for a birthday gift for my dad. Since he always likes to get skincare products or perfume or things like that I decided to give him a cute little set of products. I know how much he likes the Rituals Dragon Mud Volcanic Body Scrub, so it seemed kind of logical I'd go to the nearest Rituals and buy him a set with four products of that collection, including the scrub.

“I felt like I should salute. If only I knew how.” - Tucker Elliot

Exactly 12 years ago something terrible happened. Something that left a mark on the world forever. At 8h48 a.m. a passengers plane crashed into the World Trade Center. This was the first attack of three. 3020 people died in the attacks. 3020 mothers, fathers, children, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives and friends didn't return home that day. Just as much families never saw their beloved one again. Another 6300 were wounded.

Review: TIGI S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum

My hair is normally really dry and breakable, so I absolutely need a serum to take care of it. I used to use one made especially for damaged hair, but it seemed like my hair got even more damaged by using that serum. Very unsatisfied I threw it in the bin and looked for another serum: TIGI S Factor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum. It promises to smoothen the cuticle, protect agains environmental and heat damage and restore moisture & shine. Sounds good to me, so I ordered it and with a little delay my new precious arrived at my home.

Living the food life: August

Food is something essential for a human being to live. Normally, we eat 3 meals a day and some snacks, so eating becomes a daily task, something we have to do. We don't think enough about what we are eating or even take the time to appreciate it. You know how they joke about Japanese people taking a picture of everything they eat in a foreign country? We should do that more! Not just because you remember what you ate, but also because you remember with that photo the situation you ate it in, where, when, with which people, a random memory about that day… This month we drunk Pink Cola and ate a pampering dessert.

My summer of '13

Summer

Hello everyone!
In class, some teachers ask us about our vacation. And that is also what I’m going to tell you about today! Summer is one of the best seasons for so many reasons, but number one: THE FREEDOM! I enjoyed going to sleep after midnight, sleep late in the morning, eat breakfast and lunch together and spend time in our garden sunbathing, reading and listening to music. I had a couple of days like this and it made me feel as free as a bird. I’ll miss those days the most. Now school has begun, I’ll feel guilty every time I am lazy or waste my time.

Review: Self-tanner from Yves Rocher

I have something to confess: I have milky legs. Not milky way legs, but seriously: white legs and I don’t like it. My face, my arms and my feet: they tan but my legs refuse. So that doesn’t look good when I wear a short or dress. I had to go to a party with a dress and I decided I wanted to try a self-tanner. I never bought one earlier because I read so many horror stories on the internet of people who looked like an orange zebra afterwards. I asked the girl in the store how to do it properly, I asked for experiences and tips at people who already used a self-tanner, I searched the internet … I was completely prepared!

A summer of travels, fun and love

Source
Hello guys!

Since I went back to school yesterday, the summer break is officially over and that kind of takes away the summer feeling that I love so much. In the summer, I always feel free and more vivant than any other time of the year. (That's probably because I don't have to go to school for most of the summer.)

This summer was definitely the best so far. I had so much fun and great memories were made. I travelled quite a lot, got even closer with my awesome boyfriend, saw my friends a lot and… I started this blog with one of my best friends in the world! (How cute of me, calling you that, H.) I want to remember this summer as long as possible, so I thought, let's blog about it!

First day of school 2013

chibird

A lot of you guys might've gone back to school for a while or maybe you're still in vacation. Our first day of school was today. The entire country has to go back on the first of September, but since that was yesterday, Sunday, we only had to go on the second of September, which means an extra day. Yay! We've been looking to back to school videos constantly for the past week, but even that didn't help us to get in the school mood. But...we were lucky, school only started at 10 o'clock.

You spin my head right round, right round...

pretparken

Aloha!

One day in the summer vacation, I went to the theme park Phantasialand! I went to many other theme parks, but it was the first time I went to Phantasialand. Phantasialand is situated in Germany, Brühl.
I had to get up at 6 o'clock (Yes! That early in the vacation!) because we had to drive a long time.
We arrived at 9 o'clock but the attractions only opened at 10 o'clock. So we first discovered the beautiful park. There are 6 areas: Berlin, Deep in Africa, China Town, Fantasy, Mexico and Mystery. It's done so well! I mean, if we took a picture in China Town, I think people'd actually believe we visited China this vacation. I liked the area Berlin the most, because there were cosy eat places and bakeries with Berliners!
